 Vintage Antique 1870 A.A. MELLIER ST. LOUIS MISSOURI
Military Medical Bag? Bag stamped "Med. Dept, U.S.A."  "Elliott's Patent granted Jan 18, 1870"  Measures approx. 7" wide x 8" high x 3" thick.  Carry handle in tact. The bag has a pull out compartment which holds medicine and other supplies. bag is in good used condition with normal time/storage and usage wear for the age, shows a small hole on the top.
